Digital Prototyping - Creating digital model of a multi-head screwdriver

This self-challenge project is to practice and sharpen my skills as a designer to understand a product piece by piece, analyze the relationships of each component. Then using combination of traditional drawing, measuring method and digital prototyping technologies to create a digital model.

In this project, I used a multi-head screwdriver as the study material, after playing with it to understand the functionality aspect of the object, I measured the object and marked on the sketch to get precise sizes for the modelling.

Once I have the detailed measurements and sketch drawing of each part, I went modelling each part in Solidworks for the digital prototype.

After all the part modelling is done, I followed the assembly of the screwdriver and the relationships I learned from disassembling it to reassemble the parts in Solidworks.

Finally, after the screwdriver assembly is done, I finished up with renderings using the digital model that I created.
